Describe the device you want to build in plain language. The platform interviews you, writes the specification, walks you through the design trade-offs, generates the bill of materials, guides the assembly step by step, and produces the firmware and an enclosure. The AI does the engineering thinking; you are the hands.

What works today

The guided build is open from the specification onward: you can work a project through design, purchasing, assembly, firmware and testing today. The one part still shut is the plain-language intake interview, which needs a language-model provider configured. This list is kept honest as each part lands.

  • Working Accounts — registration with email verification, sign-in with lockout, password reset, and a profile with avatar, language and country.
  • Working Account security — two-factor authentication, active sessions you can revoke, a page showing everything that has happened on your account, and account deletion that anonymises your data.
  • Working Administration — user management, the audit browser, system settings and the background-job monitor, behind mandatory two-factor authentication.
  • Working Projects — created, archived, deleted and recovered within the recovery window, and worked through the eight phases with the next action named at every step.
  • Working The design phase — decision cards with their cost and difficulty consequences, the compatibility engine, the power budget with per-rail deficits, the pin map, and the device preview.
  • Working The bill of materials — priced from the catalog, subtotalled per currency, exported as CSV or a spreadsheet, with the procurement checklist you shop from and a substitution flow for the part you already own.
  • Working Assembly guidance — ordered steps derived from the wiring, a diagram per step showing exactly what it connects, verification checks you confirm before marking a step done, photos, and the build log.
  • Working Testing and the finish — acceptance tests generated from your own success criteria, and an export bundle that lets you take the whole project with you.
  • Partly built The component catalog — parts, supplier links and price staleness maintained by admins, with bulk import and export. There is no browse-the-whole-catalog page for you yet; you meet parts through your bill of materials.
  • Partly built The verified building-block library — pins, electrical limits, and the rules deciding which blocks may be combined, each block attested against the hardware it was actually tested on. The library is small and still growing.
  • Partly built Firmware — composed from an admin-verified baseline and your own decisions, with the code viewer, the download and per-operating-system flashing instructions. The debug assistant needs a language-model provider configured.
  • Not built yet The intake interview and the specification it writes for you — describing a device in plain language and getting a spec back. You can still write and approve a specification yourself; what is missing is the interview that drafts it. Needs a language-model provider configured.
  • Not built yet The enclosure — a 3D-printable case generated to fit what you built. Deferred to a later release, not in progress.

Where the engineering facts come from

Wiring, pin assignments, voltage and current limits and compatibility rules come from the component catalog and the verified building-block library. The model composes and explains; it does not invent them, and the diagrams are drawn from structured connection data rather than written by it.

What this platform covers

Low-voltage DC prototypes only — 24 V DC or less. Mains wiring is never part of a project here, and a design outside that limit is refused rather than discouraged.

Weapons, devices meant for covert surveillance, medical devices, automotive safety systems and radio transmitters needing a licence are refused as well, whatever the voltage. One-off prototypes, not production runs.

Where the responsibility sits

The platform gives guidance, not certification. You build the device, so you are responsible for it: check every connection yourself before you apply power, and follow the battery and soldering warnings at the step they belong to.

You can create an account now. It gets you a project you can take from specification through design, purchasing, assembly, firmware and testing. What it does not yet get you is the plain-language intake interview: for now you write the specification yourself rather than being interviewed for it.
